mission statement

Human connection is the most important facet of life. We can learn so much from others — what to do, and especially what not to do.

Throughout life, I have always found myself surrounded by all genres of humans. I have my hands in various buckets, as it's always been my dream to be a "jack of all trades, master of none." I prefer to know a lot about a lot (yes) versus a lot about a little, as shared experiences are what draw humans together. (Google Scholar exists for a reason.)

Feeling is very important to me. Feelings are what make us human. Pushing these feelings down will only harm us instead of help us reach the highest version of ourselves we can be.

I am where I am today because my maternal grandfather was diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer. I knew I needed to get my mind right before he passed, and I knew I wasn't going to find that through conventional means. I did not want to go the traditional route of therapy, pharmaceuticals, and general support for the "system," as it has never made sense to me. I understand there is a time and place for conventional medicine — I just knew my burning desire to find a way around that would give me the drive needed to pursue this lifestyle. It's not easy, and I understand why more people don't live this way. To put it plainly, our society is not set up for us to live this way.

I've had a general interest in yoga for much of my life. Something about connecting your mind and your body felt correct. When I quit nannying and started my short-lived time in corporate, I knew I was going to have to make an effort to move my body, as a sedentary lifestyle was not an option. I attended one yoga class a week with my childhood friend turned teacher, Sydni Jones, and from there found myself practicing at home. I am eternally grateful for Sydni and her role in my journey. In April of 2025, I found what is now my second home, FORUM Modern Yoga in Lexington, KY. I became obsessed. I loved not having to think of anything going on in the outside world in that one hour I was in class. My teacher, Christina Morales, showed me the importance of living in your authenticity by living that principle herself. She has a plethora of experience in the yoga world, and I am thankful the stars aligned in such a way that we crossed paths.

In May of 2025, I made a deal with myself that if I did not get the raise I proposed at my corporate job, I would resign and pursue what I actually wanted to do. Follow my intuition, if you will. It has never failed me, after all. Thankfully, that raise was denied and I immediately had a nannying gig and started yoga teacher training in August of 2025. It all fell into place in God's perfect timing.

Yoga is more than just a physical practice. It prepares you for whatever life may bring. I hold a strong moral code and I was pleased to find out that the ethical code of yoga aligns with my own, and my values were already held within a rich philosophical lineage. It all just clicked.

This has been an incredible journey. A difficult one, but easy is boring.

This is the space where all of my interests will meet. I feel led to be of service to others and pour honest love into people, no matter who you are or where you come from — and this is how I best see fit.
